Front of Carmichael Presbyterian Church

Carmichael Presbyterian Church was started by mothers who wanted a local Sunday School for their children. The first church in the Carmichael area, it was built by the dedication and efforts of the residents as a community church. It was officially chartered on December 2, 1923. The early church leaders chose affiliation with the Presbyterian Church because they liked the democratic organization of the denomination and its emphasis on education. Throughout the past nine decades Carmichael and CPC have grown and developed together.

We are a Christ-centered church—affirming our past while being enthusiastically committed to the present and dedicated to a God-guided vision for the future. The remodeling of our mission-style church begun three years ago was envisioned as the opportunity for renewal of our faith and facilities for outreach and mission in the 21st Century.

On Sunday mornings, Carmichael Presbyterian Church offers a worship experience in two distinct formats. Our early service at 8:45 a.m. offers a traditional liturgical service with a pipe organ and hymns. Our second service at 11:00 a.m. offers a contemporary approach to worship, which is less formal and features our contemporary music team. Please join us in either format as we worship Jesus Christ, Lord of our lives. In between services there is a fellowship time in the Gathering Place with coffee and juice followed by Christian Education for all ages. Childcare is provided throughout the morning.

Carmichael Presbyterian Church is a member of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Synod of the Pacific, and Presbytery of Sacramento.
